I got my first camera right out of high school in 2006 and haven’t put it down since. It started as a hobby which grew into a dream of mine to have my own business. After meeting my husband, Josh, we had some common interests but one that stood out to both of us was photography. We got married in 2011 and by 2012, we started our first photography business, Halley’s Photography. After 5 years of being a husband and wife team, we figured out we couldn’t both work full time and run a successful business, so I took the jump to become full time in 2017 and partnered with Kim. Now, here we are as Ashford Halley Studios.
We have two crazy beautiful children, Kennedy & Greyson and 3 dogs, Annabelle, Lily, and Tucker Max. During our free time (we don’t really have any), we are at the softball park, baseball park or playing football. I am also on the Ladies Golf Association board at Fennwood Hills Country Club. I actively play golf and co-ed softball during the week and on the weekends when we do not have weddings.
I have a crazy obsession with coffee, wine, LSU Football and my truck. When I am not photographing or at the ball park, I enjoy traveling, fishing, hanging out with family & friends, catching up on my shows, and reading.
Over the last 9 years, I have met some amazing people that started out as clients. It is not very often in most careers where you become family and great friends with your clients, and I am very blessed to have done that many a times.
I truly believe documenting any important moment in your life should be on the top of your list. I absolutely love looking back at old photographs of my mom and dad as children, photographs showing my family spending time with my grandparents, and my great-grandparents. Photographs last a lifetime and can be passed down from generation to generation.
